KAREN BERLIN COOPERSTEIN

President/Founder

President/Founder

Karen is best known for her versatility, having built a successful career in management and leadership positions in marketing, advertising, public relations, and philanthropy. She has lived and worked on both coasts (the Northeast and the Northwest) and now calls Texas home.

Both a gifted, big-picture strategic planner, as well as a detail-obsessed practitioner, Karen thrives on helping clients tell their stories. Her greatest talent is her writing and knowing how to distill down the right messages and articulate them at the right time using the right medium.

For companies large and small, from publicly traded global industry titans to start-ups, from mom-and-pop shops to non-profit organizations and government entities, Karen has served as a trusted advisor to C-suite executives and entrepreneurs.

Through her work, she helps power new businesses, drive philanthropy, and move the needle in awareness or public opinion. She coaches executives as they launch start-ups, educates the community and inspires them to action, and pulls off "the impossible event" while making it look easy.

Now in her 9th year in business, Karen relishes every client, every project, and every new challenge even more than when she began her adventure in 2016. She also enjoys the flexibility to spend more time with her father, Lee; her husband, Chuck, the radio voice of the Dallas Mavericks; their menagerie of rescue dogs; and her two-year-old alpaca, Miss Bellatrix.

When she's not working, you'll find Karen volunteering. She is an accomplished food pantry volunteer for Catholic Charities Dallas and recently completed a seven-year term on the Board of the Irving Convention & Visitors Bureau - a City Council-appointed position. She has served on numerous nonprofit boards and was the first female elected president of the Irving Rotary Club in its 70-year history.

Karen and Chuck launched Coops' Kids Foundation, a private foundation, in 2017 to direct their personal philanthropy. Together, they have supported dozens of local organizations, including Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, for which they chaired the annual fundraising event, Treasure Street, in 2023.

Located in south-central Oregon, Crater Lake is the deepest, clearest lake in the United States. It is also a place that holds special meaning for Karen, who lived in the Pacific Northwest for 15 years and frequently visited the lake.
